This base is nothing short of exquisite. Maybe not “exquisite” but darn impressive. A pair of swans support what would have been a shallow crystal bowl, but when this came into my possession, the bowl and base had become separated.

The base stands 6.25" high, and measures 9" by 4". It is strikingly heavy; it weighs about eight pounds – and this is the critical part – most of that weight is in the swans.

What would it be worth if the top bowl was present? Hundreds? Thousands? …Millions?
It’s a well-made piece, and it’s substantially larger than most similar dishes I’ve seen, but it lacks the elegance in detail of the pieces that command absolute top dollar. Still, it’s pretty fancy and that’ll make you feel fancy too
