Up for sale is a large metal Fornasetti tray measuring 15.75" in diameter. All colored Fornasetti pieces are hand painted, numbered, signed and signed. This one is dated 2005.
This tray has been hanging on a wall with a metal plate hanger. on 2 of the “sides” the rubber grips from the plate hanger have pushed into the finish a bit. The exact opposite side has 2 of these as well. There is a factory produced smudge that was evident when purchased, it is a large tear dropped shape that sits to the left of the cross of the fork and the knife, between the orange and the peel. All in all, these things I have mentioned are hardly noticeable, and you really need to look for them to even be apparent. This plate comes complete with the original box, which is in ok condition, something like what you would expect having been around for a while. The box is not in perfect condition as there is some break down on corners, and there is tape on the sides, as well as a label from the store it was purchased in, and a bit of first layer paper pulling. All in all a great display piece. At retail these trays start at $400.
