My guy and I are downsizing and need to let go of a few lovely pieces of furniture. This turn-of-the-century steamer trunk has been in my family for many years. I remember keeping dress-up clothes in it as a little girl, and for the last several years it has served as my dresser. It is in fabulous condition, considering it is well over 100 years old. I had the outer lock disassembled by a professional locksmith, since I no longer have the key, but kept all the parts in case they are of interest. There is a small drawer insider which I do have the original key for, and is perfect for storing jewelry, little treasures, or love letters. The shelf you see on the left side is something I put in so I could use it as a bookshelf, but it is just sitting on the original brackets of the trunk and can be easily removed.
