Normally I steer clear of plastic when it comes to home decor, but these birds were just so slick that I couldn’t pass them up. They were manufactured by Dart Industries for Coppercraft Guild and one still bears the foil CG sticker on its reverse. They’re made of a hard and heavy molded black plastic and brushed with a copper-toned finish.
The birds appear to be cardinals (one male and one female) resting on dogwood branches. The d00d bird is approximately 14 1/2″×9 1/4". The laydehbird is around 13 1/2″×9 1/2". They’re in pretty terrific, like-new condition. Not bad for something created in 1967.
