This is a salvaged vintage industrial foundry pattern. A beautifully handcrafted wooden mold. These pieces were originally handcrafted in the machine shops of the 1930s – 1940s factories. They were then used as molds to make the metal parts needed for the machines.
The woodgrain is especially noted on the clearcoated pieces. The molds have been “revived” with wood polish and “elbow grease” in order to maintain their authenticity, and aged patina. They have not been “restored.”
The molds make beautiful home accents, the wood grain has been enhanced over the years, and the craftsmanship is amazing. See pic #5
