When I laid eyes on this beautiful handmade picnic hamper, it was love at first sight. It’s sturdy and gorgeous and made by Basketville out of Putney, Vermont before they farmed their business overseas. I believe the wood it’s crafted from is oak, and the beauty is in the details: It’s got a lion’s head pull on the lid and the trim is finished with nails. Nothing glued or stapled here, and good ole American craftsmanship is on display!
You could stuff this full of goodies and surprise your sweetie with a fun roadtrip, or you could use it to store your knitting/sewing supplies. It might even look great in your bathroom, stealthily storing magazines or the extra rolls of TP.
(p.s., the water speckles on the bottom and side in the last two pics are not permanent and were from the dewy grass!)
Overall, the basket measures approximately 17½" wide, 9" tall and 11½" deep at its widest points.
