I started collecting these when my son was young and kept losing his wallet. He is now in college and has (or at least I hope he has) learned to keep better track of his belongings.
Terrier – Swank for McCoy. I believe the shoe horn is original to the piece. There is a small chip which can be seen in the photo. There are also a few areas where the paint has worn…can be retouched easily. This piece is relatively rare.
Dachshund – Not sure who made this. Pretty common. The tail is perfect for holding watches (at least it worked for us).
Smiling Horse – Swank for McCoy. Still has its original brush. This piece is rare and can easily sell for $50+.
Hippo – Freeman McFarland, still has its original label. Also relatively rare.
I am listing this lot in the hopes antique dealers may be interested, but dresser caddies are nice to have around just to make you smile.
