Huge Original Wood-Mounted Promo Poster/Sign for Pearl Bailey in Hello Dolly!
A truly one-of-a-kind piece of Broadway memorabilia!
From the 1975 production with artwork by R. Kursar — the same as seen on the playbill, only in full color. An oversized original Broadway poster mounted on ~.5" thick wood with lucite in front
Measures 79″ × 39″ — That’s over 6 and a half feet tall!
Original intended use unknown. Displayed for a number of years at the Mark Two theater in the Orlando area which closed some time ago.
The print itself is in great shape, stored under the lucite since mounting. No fading, major marks, etc.Very slight inconsistencies in surface from mounting. One bit of damage near center left (original trim line) which someone touched up. Screw holes on either side drilled for the lucite & some spots near edges, most noticeably at the bottom..
Photos are of the actual item & some of the most notable wear is shown.
The original lucite was removed for cleaning & photographs and has been remounted.
Lucite has some marks and scratches from original use and 30 years of storage and display. The wear mostly consists of very slight surface marks & scratches though there are few deeper scratches. Still, nothing which detracts from the overall display.
