Inside is storage…. for cards, a bottle of absinthe, or whatever tickles your fancy. It Is solid but has scratches, dings, mars consistent with age. Check out the ultra cool hinges… this is a well made vintage piece that works as a card table, dining table, side table or accent table…. nice lines and feel.
