Arts and Crafts or Mid-Century Style Made by Paine Furniture Co – Masters of this style era. Top surface is laminate plastic – like “Formica” – but the earlier materials were very high quality. Chairs: Blue Vinyl w/ Brass Tacks. Slim – Elegant.
Top surface simulates Oak – table legs and chairs made from some other white hardwood though: probably Ash. {used in baseball bats, and very popular in the 40’s & 50’s}
Chairs are covered in a high grade Blue Vinyl. Tacked together with brass upholstery tacks both front and back = very tight and in great condition with no tears, rips or soil.
Think this set is from after WW 2 sometime [ I’ll bet on the early 50’s ] the plain ‘arts and crafts’ or ‘mid-century modern’ style is a classic.
Measures about 48" long by 40" wide … there is a slide rail underneath that used to accommodate a leaf, but the leaf is absent. A non-matching leaf could be fit pretty easily, then covered with a table cloth to make this table take 6 diners. Standard 29.5" height.
Legs un bolt in traditional manner to make storage or shipping easier.
Delivery possible on our limited schedule – please ask. Local is cheaper… Most Boston Locations $30 — Framingham $40
