Oh, those sturdy vowels. They sure do tend their business, don’t they? But Y! Y is a sometimes-vowel, waffly and non-committal. Don’t ask Y. Asking Y will never get you anywhere.

Seven-and-a-half by nine-and-a-half opening features ‘AEIOU’ seemingly floating in mid-air, but really it’s housed between two pieces of glass. ‘Y’ is down there piddling around, tumbling out of frame, or maybe trying to sneak off for noontime drinks. Piece measures ten-and-a-half by thirteen-and-a-half and is made from vintage found things. It has a sturdy metal sawtooth hanger affixed firmly to the back for hanging.

I love a good ole vintage frame and I have had a lifelong love affair with words, so the Floating Words series I’ve started tickles me to death since it marries the two. Lots more to come. I also take commissions!
