This is a larger version of my pencil cup, and has been something I wanted to make for a long time, but I wanted to find the perfect material for the base. I was finally able to locate bamboo plywood, a material that is often used in cutting boards, to complete this design. Bamboo is a sustainable material that is also durable making it a great fit.

Each utensil holder is handmade of stainless steel with a bamboo plywood base and will not rust or tarnish over time.

The metal is cut with tin snips, polished, and then heated for color. The metal is secured with aluminum rivets and stainless steel wood screws. Care is taken to make sure there are no burs or sharp edges.

The dimensions are approximately 6 inches tall, and 5 inches in diameter. Due to the process of making each one separately there will be slight variations in the color and size.

When you order a utensil holder please indicate if you would prefer the color or silver finish. If you would like more than one let me know and I will be happy to make a reserved listing for you.
