We found this mid-century Danish modern corner table at an estate sale. It was terribly beaten up. The wood had been mistreated and ignored for decades. The doors were in poor condition. The track had to be hand sanded for hours in order to restore functionality. It is a one of kind piece given its extraordinary rolling tambour doors. We haven’t been able to find another one like it.
The table was sanded down to the bare wood, repaired, and painted. The color scheme was inspired by some awesome fabric that we came across while working on another project. Several days of painting and taping, taping and painting, and painting and taping were required to complete the work. The original knobs had to be soaked and scrubbed to remove years of dust and dirt buildup.
This corner table would be right at home in any living room, sun room, or even on an outdoor covered patio. We will be sad to see this one go.
