ALL ORIGINAL
Chartreuse Olivier Mourgue Djinn chair and ottoman manufactured by Airborne International circa 1965
Chair Dimensions:
26.5"H x 27"W x 31"D Seat height: 14"
Ottoman Dimensions:
16"H x 28"W x 24"D
THE GOOD:
All original Olivier Mourgue Djinn chair and ottoman. Chartreuse knit fabric, original hardware and glides intact and in good condition. I have owned the set for 5 years and while in my possession have been in a smoke-free and pet-free environment. Aside from dusting (light vacuuming), I have made no attempt to clean or repair the fabric. “Chartreuse” is an accurate description of the color, it is nearly neon yellow green.
THE BAD:
They need to be reupholstered (new covers). I have been using as is and it presents okay. As you can see in the photos there is soiling, water stains, snags and sagging of the fabric. I kept meaning to have new covers made, but decided to downsize my collection. Which means that if you decide to have it recovered, you get to choose your favorite color and fabric!
THE UGLY:
There is no ugly. Frame is solid and structurally sound. Foam is soft, pliable, intact, and very useable. There is a lot of life left.
