Vintage Dansk Flamestone enameled casserole in the “beehive” style, 8-1/2" diameter, perfect for the holidays. The Jens Quistgaard designed Flamestone patterns have been reissued by Lenox, the current owner of the venerable brand, but anyone will tell you it’s not the same as the good old stuff. It currently retails for about 80.00 new. This one is in good to excellent vintage condition with some wear consistent with age (it was launched, I think, in 1959). The bottom of the casserole has burn marks from use, but through the char you can see the Dansk label. The interior is in far better shape than casseroles I come across. No rust or chips in the enamel. This is a great find for a lover of Dansk who also happens to want to make a casserole.
