Vintage 1910-1915 Wooden Chair
If you get weak in the knees over the sight of peeling paint, this chair is for you! Keep it the way it is, or paint and reupholster it if you can’t wait to get your hands on a paint brush when you see peeling paint.
Here’s the story:
On a very hot summer morning, two like-minded neighbors rescued this character-filled chair from a well-known Chicago institution’s dumpster (it was next to it, not in it). They risked life and limb to get it home, hand-carrying it across Chicago traffic and almost getting hit only once.
Pull this sturdy chair up to the dining or kitchen table when an extra seat is needed for a guest. It would also make a perfect DIY project if you want to repaint it or replace the material on the seat and back.
