RAAK – circa 1970s

This chandelier features 8 smoked glass globes that hang on chrome cylinders from a square chrome ceiling plate. The glass globes are a bronze colored smoked glass. The color is a warm bronze smoke rather than an a cool gray. The glass is without pattern. The glass globes are suspended from a chrome ceiling plate by black electrical cords. Each globe is fitted with a chrome cylinder which houses a standard light bulb. The fixture is photographed without light bulbs. In working condition!

The chandelier is completely adjustable in height and the globes can be reconfigured to stagger in various ways. The cords can be shortened or lengthened within the housing to create the desired effect. The chandelier has been photographed at approximately 6 feet in length. The fixture has enough cord to extend to approximately 10 feet in length.

The globes measure: 2 at 12" diameter, 2 at 10" diameter, 2 at 8" diameter, and 2 at 6" diameter. 8 total.

The ceiling plate measures 23" square and the hanging cylinders are 2" in diameter.

Overall the fixture is in very good vintage condition. There is, however, some hazing and a few scratches to the ceiling plate (See photos). The mounting plate could be painted black or to match the color of your ceiling.

The fixture is hung by mounting the square black plate to the electrical junction box. The electrical wires are run into this box. The chrome plate with cords and cylinders is then wired to the ceiling. The chrome plate is then attached to the black box with 4 screw caps. After the fixture is in place, the blubs and globes are added. Voila!
