RARE! Thankfully we all know that real tortoise shell is illegal. This is a collectors item which is very rare and very valuable. This was a gift to my mother from a family she stayed with in Bora Bora in 1970 (before Club Med and the rest of all that arrived). It is a magnificent, large hand made comb that she did wear for a few years. Personally, I would frame it in a shadow box. I am offering this for far less than an auction house would. Trust me on that. I suggest that you have it appraised.
