This listing if for a set of 2 David Rowland 40/4 chairs in oak plywood and steel chrome finish. These chairs are classic and they look great in wood. These chairs have been lightly refinished and are in excellent vintage condition. There may be some very light signs of wear or age, however, chairs have no apparent chips or dings. All chairs have floor glides.

These chair are fantastic for the office or the home. If you have a smaller apartment or house you can provide seating for guests at special occasions and then after your done they neatly stack away… not to mention they look great in a stack too. These chairs are heavier than you think, they are a very well designed and sturdy chair.

In 1964, a year after it went on the market, the 40/4 was awarded the grand prize at the prestigious Milan Triennale, the first of many design awards it has received. It is also in the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art and several other major museums. These chairs in wood retail for $300 each.
