19th century
Striking hand-painted canvas pull shade used as store signage and window covering during hours closed. Soft, sky-blue background color highlights gold dimensional lettering denoting the family-owned business. Lettering is situated at the bottom third of the nine-foot long banner with a sea of blue above, allowing banner to be hung at varying heights. Hails from a local grocery store in turn-of-the century New Ulm, MN.
