This HOVMAND OLSEN for Mogens Kold secretary is a high quality Danish Control piece and just the right size for a smaller space. It has been completely restored to its former glory with a meticulous hand-sanding and hand-rubbed teak oil finish. This is the way its designer, Hovy baby, wanted it to look. These mid-century guys weren’t into the antiques and didn’t sit around dreaming of the day when their creations would be crippled aesthetically with drink rings and layers of tar from the cigarettes that would eventually knock off most of their primary owners. This piece is 100% structurally sound, all drawers are tight and move smoothly, as does the writing desk, and is ready to once again serve mankind as it moves into the smoke-free future that, when this desk was new, only a teenaged Michael Bloomberg could have imagined. (Smokers can buy this too, just kidding ’bout all that.)
