Heavy, good quality leather chaps with detailed braided leather along the outer seam of each leg and covers each zipper, a front pocket with a flap top and velcro closure, (perfect for your phone!)adjustable leather belt in front and adjustable leather tie closure in the back, and finally 3 silver snap closures at the bottom of each leg.
The generous braiding continues along as trim at the top of the waist and at the bottom of the waist, forming a type of detailed belt like trim.
The size tag reads “L” for large, they seem to fit as a women’s large or men’s medium. The model pictured above is 5’ 6", and wears size 34 waist and 32 length denim jeans.
Measurements:
*Length of inseam: 30" (Length of zipper: 22" + length of lleather with 3 snaps: 8") Please note:This length starts at the top of the thigh and bottom of back pants pocket, not at the waist.
*Top of leg width/diameter: 24"
*Bottom of leg width/diameter: 19"
*Waist adjusts from 30" to 36 "
The leather of the chaps is intact and in good condition. They appear to have had minimal use. All zippers, snaps, buckles, ties, and velcro closures work well and are intact. I have freshened up the leather with mink oil, but they will need additional cleaning & conditioning, as does all vintage leather.
The leather is unfinished at the bottom of each leg and the inside is unlined, as is traditional with chaps.
