A Rare Pair of Leather Sling Chairs in the manner of Max Gottschalk for sale!

Circa 1970s – unmarked

These chairs feature a steel frame with a stretched leather sling seat. Each chairs swivels on the four leg base. The leather is one piece and attaches at the top back and two sides of the seat frame. The front of the leather is finished and the back is suede.

The leather is in very good vintage condition with minimal wear from age and use. There is no rips, tears or damage to the leather. There are a few scuffs of both sides of leather and this could be easily touched up (see photos). The metal frames are in very good condition. There is some light pitting and wear to the bases.

The chairs measure 36.5" H x 21.75" W x 23.5" D. The front of the seat is 19" W. The highest point on the seat is 18.5" H. The base measures 24″ × 24″. The steel bar support is 1.5" W.
