This is a metal and wood piece with the American Seating Company, Grand Rapids, Mich. mark on the back of the chair. No date, but I’m going to guess ’40s/early ’50s classroom issue.

The desk opens up for storage, but no longer stays up on its own.

Good for kids aged 3-9. Dimensions: height: 30 inches/ Width 24 inches

Everyone who sees this in my living room oohs and ahhs. My son long ago grew out of it, and I would love to keep this piece but I have no room. Hoping it will find a worthy home with another Apartment Therapy type.
