Stephan Coneye, 1907-1978 started the Coneye Werkstatte (working group) in 1945 where he was the designer. Well known for his masks and other items made for export. Influenced by the Wiener Werkstatte. The coordinated set includes a large vase and 2 candelabra with 2 candle holders each. The entire set is handmade and retain the original metallic stickers from the werkstatte. The set is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks or any apparent defects of manufacture, museum grade. The set, much like works of the Wiener Werkstatte displays a folksy craft look while imparting a very sophisticated feel…The influence of Josef Hoffman is apparent in the shape and style of the vase. The set works well even with the finest of china.
Vase Stands 9 1/2" tall with a diameter of 6 1/2". Candelabra stand 8 1/2" tall and are 8 3/4" long and 5 1/2" wide.
