These 3" diameter, solid ceramic balls were reclaimed from a water purification plant. Each has been scrubbed clean, some to an alabaster finish, others veined and more textural with darker highlights. A set of 10 makes an intriguing nest of spherical eggs, each with its own character, patina and shades of white to grey. The presentation as a whole is a pleasing visual display that warrants closer inspection, the feel of their heft and texture in-hand. An ideal table centerpiece in a bowl of glass, wood or stone.
