Butcher Block Table of industrial maple with steel legs
United States
early 20th century
This Butcher Block Table is crafted from a 4-in maple block solidly mounted on a steel frame and legs. The maple was part of the bones of a former GM plant. Beautifully scarred and worn by the advance of the automotive juggernaut. No soft woods apply. This is rock maple with steel rods driven through it. Industrial strength. Would make a great mini-bar, inside the house or out. Chopping block. Side table. Dance floor.
Condition*
Excellent. Maple top has been modestly sanded and sealed, leaving its well worn character intact.
Wear
Minor wear consistent with age and use
