Hand made by Avril probably in 1968. If I could find her, I’d get the real low-down, but I heard once that only three of these were made, and I’ve never seen the other two.

80×30dx22-1/2h, this is a classic long and low profile. Reupholstered in black chenille 2003, it has been in my weekend home for the past 8 years with minimal exposure to butts and the elements. The rattan is in amazing condition. Only the point where the loops end and are joined by staples are popped, and that’s on the back. The back is still fully presentable. Chrome is still shrink-wrapped! It’s amazingly comfortable to sit on, given that there are two layers of upholstered foam on the seat. The arm is a little harsh, though, so bring a pillow if you’re going to crash after Downton Abbey.

It’s currently located in Saugerties, NY and does not fit in my car, so consider delivery arrangements as part of your offer. We may find convenient delivery options for around $100.
