Beautiful late 19th Century English bureau/dresser with attached wardrobes. Great condition cathedral mahogany with original wooden drawer pulls. Intricate carved detail on each wardrobe door (see picture), and fluted wardrobe tops give piece a distinguished look. Five large and fully functional dresser drawers. Both wardrobes have a small metal rod for hanging coats, suits, and dresses. Hidden hat/storage compartment in bottom of right-side wardrobe. Charming key holes in each drawer and wardrobe door.
Dimensions:
—Max height (wardrobe columns): 76 inches
—Dresser height (middle of piece): 58 inches
—Width: 67.5 inches. Fluted tops add an additional 2 inches on each side, overhanging the sides.
—Depth: 17.5 inches
The whole piece can be easily separated (columns and dresser come off base) for easy moving and storage. Wood is in great condition, as is the piece itself with two minor exceptions: one wooden drawer pull is slightly damaged (see picture), and faces of bottom two drawers tilt slightly inward (see picture), but that drawer pull and those two drawers are still in full working order; their actual performance is not affected.
We are only parting with this because we’re downsizing considerably. Been in the family for over two decades; very sad to see it go. This is a steal — less than what we paid twenty years ago.
