Let’s face it, I sell most of the things in the shop that are vaguely intended for children to adults, for themselves or for other adults. While these whimsical wool animals are actually intended as home decor items rather than toys, they will certainly inspire some childlike laughter along the way….

These stuffed animals are made from a patchwork of repurposed wool garments by Mam and Tzotzil ethnic Mayans in the highlands of Guatemala and Mexico. The patterns are cut and sewn entirely by hand and each resulting animal is unique.

The lion is approximately 8.5’’ by 8’’ to get a feeling for size.

Not all animals are pictured…including the shark (!) so stop by to see… There is slight variation in the price, but they are all in the $26.00 to $36.00 range.
