This 2-piece king/queen size headboard (or 2 twins) set was designed by George Nelson for Herman Miller as part of their “Primavera” Series. It has a built-in bookshelf/nightstand at either side, each containing two shelves and one pull-out shelf. The only other owner was a collector of mid century modern furniture.

The two walnut wood headboards have set back ebonized wood legs & drop-down button tufted upholstered backrests which slide up & down to conceal even more storage space. Each piece measures approximately 56.25" W x 13" D x 39.75" H (overall 112" W). Glossy walnut wood and upholstered finishes are in very good original condition with only minor, age appropriate veneer marks (pictured) that are liveable. Ca 1950.
